graduate students
Graduate students are an integral part of the PSIEE's research program. Under the direction of faculty members, they conduct literature searches, field work, laboratory analyses, and independent inquiries into a particular aspect of a research project. Although the Institute does not offer course instruction leading to a specific degree, its research opportunities supplement and extend existing graduate programs.
Students may receive financial support in the form of research assistantships. Other students are hired to work part-time in laboratories or gather field data. For 2007-2008, 23 graduate students received support from the PSIEE.
